Do I understand economics? Like big time, server-wide economics? No, and anyone that tells you they do is full of shit. It's great fun to think about though, and rewarding when you get something right. Most people don't believe in something until it already has happened. That's not stupidity or weakness, that's just human nature. I don't claim to be smarter than anyone else, it's just the thinking time I put in before entering a conversation, and afterward. If I ask a question, I take the answer at face value, but spend most of my comprehension in the way it was explained, the words used to convey tone of voice or opinion, and the positive and negative as motivators. I can learn a wealth of knowledge from a random person I ask a random question.
This blog is about understanding people, how to profit from their actions, how to take these principles and lay them out for the structure of a profit model for a business, and how these understandings evolve.
Taking what I've written for face value, will you change the way you say something, or hold your cards tighter?
One of my jobs is to teach you how to think about people, and business, in a profitable way. If you have moral objections, in a video game, about taking money from people, then you cannot profit my my efforts.
