For the next week, at the end of every playing session, write down how much gold you have in your wallet.

If you buy anything from the Auction House, you are not allowed to use 'buyout' unless the buyout price is Identical to the bid. You must buy anything you want with bids instead of buyout.

In addition to your previous note-taking, if you make any purchase over 100g, regardless of what it is, write down what it is.

This should help you save money, only buy what you need (curb impulse buying) and plan ahead for items you need on a schedule, instead of burst purchasing before a raid flasks, for example.
