Misinformation

Between life changes involving a potential move, a new job, and a host of in-game and out of game activities taking over my time, I have to admit to slacking on the blog. Sorry! I finally have some updates though, and a small lesson.

I had noticed a sharp increase of campers on the server's markets, and it correlated with the mmo-champion blog post about 'how to be an inscriptionist' post a week or so back. It was easy for me to put two and two together, so I realized laying low might be a good thing. I don't camp the auctions, and there was such a large influx of new sellers so regularly, yet infrequent, that any directed counter-strategy would require planning and observation before solid data was ready to use.

Now that information is acquired! I'm using a multi-prong strategy to resume sales starting this weekend, and I will post results on my success. For the past two weeks, I was trying out neutral auction house shifting product to alliance alts, and selling on their side (since alliance out-populate Horde 4:1). It was profitable while I gathered information, but time investment and limitations of marketing mods don't facilitate me continuing this approach.

For the time being, I have been focusing on other markets than direct glyph sales, such as my newly discovered enchanting side-business. Both are expected to be up and running again soon.

Also, I think it's fairly safe to say, you can raid full time, and still remain profitable. Wallet update when I won't be ashamed of it.
