Can't swim in it

Since I began my profit-making endeavor, the most common questions I've been asked is "Why don't you get to 80!?" (by the way, a '!?' is called an interrobang, so if nothing else today, you learned something on the site!)

Why not 80? Lots of reasons. The most important should be viewed like this: In order to achieve your goals, you have to set steps to achieve them. You cannot over-burden yourself. You are probably familiar with the person in guild who says "I want to be #1 Raider on the server, have all the cool gears!" but he is usually found fishing for some pet rat, or running his friends through an instance. These aren't punishable actions, they just aren't helping him reach his goal.

My goal is not everyone's goal. Some people want 100 horses, some people want to only wear purple items. Some people want 10 characters all at level 80 with every profession. Who's to say they're wrong to want these things? If they set goals and reach them then congrats! I think epics are stupid, mounts are stupid, alts are stupid, and raiding is stupid. I don't ask anyone to share my viewpoints unless they are interested though! Honestly, I am bored of 'new content' because it really is the same experience, just with a new color or a different picture for the boss. That game of WoW grew tiresome to me a long time ago, and I quit playing that game.

The goal for my WoW experience is to make money and master trading. If I level to 80, then Raiding and mounts and other expenses open up as opportunities to me. It's not that I have low willpower, I just receive no benefit to reaching my goals for the effort of gringing EXP from monsters that drop pathetic loot.

Today, what I really enjoy, is Money! People all have some, very few have a lot, and even less know how to make a lot. I think managing a business in the game and profiting from my plans and expectations is far more rewarding than killing X boss for the 50th time to get some person who never shows up some item he wanted. People always say "Well, what are you going to do with all of that money? You're not 80, you can't use it!" Precisely.

Everyone else sees money as 'to be used'. Look at this non-combat pet, it's only 5000 gold on the AH. I don't have it yet, and it does this cute thing if you don't move for 5 seconds. SOLD! Another mount, SURE! Repairs from wiping in a raid for 6 hours because no one wants to be there and no one is trying? YES! They don't see money as time. They think their 'experience' in WoW is worth their $15 a month, and that literally working their asses off for daily monies to pay for seeing end-game raid content and buying potions is worth it. Their quality of life is lower, but they don't know any better.

~Again, I say that this is fine for some people. It irritates me to no end though. You don't have to live under the bridge where I live, but the view down here can make you rich.
