Status Update

7339 Gold. Wow! I more than doubled my initial investment within my first week. It's 2 thousand more gold than I anticipated. I made approximately 1.2 thousand gold a day. And I spent maybe 1-2 hours total to make this amount. No farming for herbs occurred. No supplemental income sources. Only Inscription, and the AH. I went from 63 Gold last Tuesday at the start of this experiement to today, one week later. I learned a lot, and let me share what I can with you.

First off, 75%-80% of this profit came directly from glyph sales on the AH. They are the bulk of the profit I received according to my Auditor. Even though there are two other fierce competitors on this server's glyph markets, even though we're nearly a year into Wrath and glyphs may be saturated, even though I was told that inscription was dead on Doomhammer. I was still moving 300-400 glyphs per day. I think I could double that with enough preparation and a large enough investment.

The remaining 25% of my profit came from some fortunate crafting of Nobles cards (only two) which really went to repaying my costs as I stopped selling Snowfall inks directly back to alleviate this part of my budget. I also was asked to craft 2 of the epic off-hand books (surprise market) and sold a few specially crafted items (I'll share one of those with you tomorrow).

Breakdown, I spend approximately 15% of my profits back on herbs, which is immediately recuperated. The server is paying me to make glyphs. Even with two others for competition, the market demand is higher than I could have hoped and it doesn't seem to slow down. Friday and Saturday afternoons were like a fire sale. I could not craft glyphs fast enough to keep up with the demand.

Herbs cost: Roughly 800 Gold (was partially paid for prior to start of last week, as I had 150 Inks).

So with these lessons in mind, I look forward to this next week and where my wallet will take me.
